I just got my new HANSON cd today, "THE WALK". Yes, they were the ones with MMMBop and yes, they are still around. I am so excited! It is so awesome! OMG! It is better than Middle of Nowhere (MON)[1997], Live from Albertane (LFA) [1998], Snowed In [1998], This Time Around (TTA)[2000], Underneath[2004] and The Best of Hanson: Live and Electric [2005]. All awesome for there time and classics in my mind. Being independat for the last three albums has been great for them. #1 independent album debut and #25 top 100 Billboard chart debut for Underneath. They all show the frame of mind and growth of these artists, but I digress.
THE WALK:

2. The Great Divide
This track was released early on iTunes in an attempt to raise money for the Perinatal HIV Unit at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto, South Africa. The hospital is used to prevent the mother-to-child AIDS transmission. It was recorded using a choir from South Africa. It is a souring anthem of finding hope despite it all. The chior is chanting, Ngi Ne Themba (I have hope.)
3. Been There Before
A beautiful song of the 'roots of rock n roll'. It is portrays without giving away who they are taking about. It is not 'shameless' as some songs can be. *cough* Madonna- Vogue *cough*
4. Georgia
A love song about compromise and The I'll be there for you and you'll be there for me. He doesn't want to lose her (Georgia) and he is letting her know he is totally committed even though he isn't there right now.

5. Watch Over Me
I love this song. The guitar is awesome, but then again I am in love with Isaac songs. It is about a girl whose life is just messed up and she is stuck in such a rut. She is so unhappy. She begs, "watch over me." I love all the lyrics in this song.

is a song about a guy who wants a girl whose guy is running around on her. He is there waiting to

7. Go
A simple song about a relationship falling apart and how he can't let go.

8. Fire On the Mountain
A song about how we need to seek to be greater men and if we don't then we won't make any difference and we'll be destroyed.

9. One More
Is a song about something that is almost over and never really knowing someone.

10. Blue Sky
a song about the search for somrthing that completes us, our "blue sky."

11.Tearing It Down
A bout a man who sees through the falsity of this life and is taking a chance to break through it.

12. Something Going Round
This one has farely obvious religious conantations.

13. Your Illusion
A song about the frutility of trying to change someones state of mind and the direction there life takes. It is also how the trying can drag you down to if you care for them.

14. The Walk
A song about taking risks and either getting rewarded or failing. Life is compared to "the walk" on a tightrope.

That is my review of my wonderful new cd, I mean Hanson's new cd. I swear its kind of like my poetry, but, well, better. I love these guys. lol Woo!
